Meditation: Healing your mind and body

  • Uncommon 34-37 Liverpool Street London, England, EC2M 7PP United Kingdom (map)

The science behind the meditative process reveals the biochemical and neurological changes that occur through regular practise…

Meditation is an ancient discipline that dates back millennia. The translation of the word meditation, or ‘Gom’ from Tibetan scriptures, means to become familiar with.

Throughout this workshop we will be exploring meditation through the lens of neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology. We will apply techniques from Focused Attention Meditation and Open Awareness Meditation. These practises have been shown to positively impact specific neural networks in the brain, contributing to greater degrees of well-being and mental flexibility.

This workshop is for people wanting to:

  • Transforming disempowering emotions

  • Develop resilience and grit

  • Elevate their level of awareness

Attendees will be guided through a number of practises and will leave with:

  • A more in-depth understanding of the mind and body, and how both operate synergistically to create well-being

  • A step-by-step process to begin their own journey of meditation

  • An insight into the world of neuroscience and real life application
